In the early universe, dark matter particles formed a quantum “crowd,” where annihilation was suppressed. As expansion reduced density, the shield broke — and a burst of self-destruction began. Today’s dark matter is the ashes of that fireworks show.

🎯 If the universe had expanded just a little slower, the protective density would have lasted longer, and dark matter would have vanished entirely — along with any chance for galaxies to form.
