It turns out that quantum entanglement in a chain of particles only exists over short distances at any temperature. Remove a small piece and the halves no longer feel each other. It's like distant relatives in a noisy crowd: you don't synchronize your actions. For a quantum computer, this limit is an important engineering constraint.

🎯 Few people know, but a similar limit applies in biology: neural pathways cannot be infinitely long, otherwise the signal would drown in noise. Quantum entanglement obeys the same rule—long distances are forbidden for it.
