Physicists simulated a traversable wormhole on a noisy quantum processor and observed a key signature of teleportation.

On a quantum chip, they recreated a tiny but wildly chaotic system of particles. Its entanglement was so strong that it turned into a hologram of a wormhole — a tunnel through space. The signal sent through it arrived differently depending on the sign. Such a trick opens the door to lab tests of quantum gravity.
