A riverbed’s shape obeys a cosmic equation! It turns out that a river’s bottom profile follows the same law as the evolution of a negatively curved Universe. This means water flows to maximize friction. Perhaps this approach could help design more efficient canals or predict floods.

🎯 In a laboratory river, sand and water eventually settle into the very shape that most strongly slows the flow — as if by mutual agreement, without any outside interference.
