Invisible dark matter may slow the mergers of galactic cores. If its particles jostle slightly, then the supermassive black holes at the centers of galaxies merge more slowly. The future LISA detector will hear these cosmic collisions and, by their rhythm, determine which model is correct. The key to the puzzle is 70 'loud' mergers.
