Billions of light-years away, mysterious red dots glow. Turns out, they might be giant gas cocoons with black holes hiding inside. Hundreds of times heavier than the Sun, they blaze by devouring their own 'fuel.' That's how the Universe's first beacons lit up.

🎯 If a quasi-star were placed where the Sun is, its envelope would stretch beyond the orbit of Jupiter, and inside it would hide a black hole the size of a small city.
