In a crowd, you get stuck when chaos blocks your path. In just the same way, scientists stopped light for the first time in a 3D jumble of metallic particles — the waves’ wandering gave way to complete localization. This opens a path to new kinds of information storage and processors.

🎯 Anderson localization was predicted for electrons in 1958, but it took almost 70 years to witness it in three-dimensional light without artifacts.
