For quantum computers, especially resilient states were invented — GKP. They have built-in 'checks' for errors. Previously, it was thought that if the checks were passed, the state was perfect. It turned out that’s not a guarantee: even passed checks can hide defects. This will force a rethinking of how we assess the quality of quantum data.

🎯 Initially, GKP states were developed for optical quantum computing, but it was they that became the foundation for the concept of the quantum internet.
