Emptiness is never truly empty — it's constantly buzzing with virtual particles. Their jostling can spin tiny pieces of matter if a magnetic field is applied. Physicists have found a way to start this 'vacuum motor' without asymmetric parts, simply by using a new type of magnet. In the future, this could lead to nanomotors that run without mechanical contact.

🎯 The Casimir effect was calculated by Dutch physicist Hendrik Casimir back in 1948, but it wasn't experimentally confirmed until 1996–1997 with the help of ultra-precise measurements.
