The top quark's heavy brother may have been hiding from us for billions of years. Physicists have figured out how to catch it: smash muons into protons and sift the debris through smart algorithms. One strategy targets medium weights, the other goes for record-breaking ones. If the particle is found, the Standard Model will crack at the seams.

🎯 The top quark weighs as much as an entire gold atom. The hypothetical twin could be heavier than a molecule.
