Scientists figured out how to tell a planet’s living breath from lifeless gases. Instead of merely sniffing the atmosphere, they measure the speed at which gases rise from the surface. The test showed an 80% chance of microbes. It’s like hearing oil sizzle and knowing it’s frying, not the wind rustling.
