Quantum physics suggests a way to jump between different outcomes of the same event by erasing your memory.

According to physicist Hugh Everett, every observation splits the universe into parallel branches. Normally, your memory of the outcome locks you into one branch, like a key keeping a door shut. A new protocol, reality steering, shows you can pick that lock: erase the memory, and the barrier fades, letting you slide into another reality.

Forgetting is physical. Your brain’s particles rearrange, releasing heat and increasing entropy—the universe’s drift toward disorder.

But the switch is perfectly invisible. Your new memories will seamlessly match the new branch, so you’d recall events differently and believe they always happened that way. You can never prove you jumped. Still, this turns idle speculation into a serious physics challenge.

🎯 Erasing a single bit of information at room temperature releases at least about 0.0175 electronvolts of heat—a tiny but real link between forgetting and the physical world.

🎬 Like the TV series 'Sliders,' where travelers hop between parallel Earths—but here, you’d never remember your original home.
