A planet right next to its star, on an elongated orbit. Tidal forces knead it like dough, forcing its interior to spew lava. Hydrogen that should have long since escaped is constantly replenished by volcanic gases. A thin hydrogen envelope is a sign of boiling innards. The James Webb Space Telescope will be able to find such worlds.
