Does blue light travel faster than red? If the photon has mass, that’s exactly the case. Astronomers used cosmic radio bursts as a race of different-colored rays across half the Universe. Result: light is almost perfectly massless – a new record of lightness.

🎯 If the photon had such mass, then over the distance to the Andromeda Galaxy, the blue ray would be late to the finish by a trillionth of a second.
