In the very forge of a star being born, astronomers spotted the glycolamide molecule — a relative of an amino acid. It turns out, complex organics don't just survive in the fire of stellar nurseries, but also retain the 'recipe proportions' from the cold cloud. Thus, life's chemistry travels through cosmic storms.
