As it turns out, two atoms can make photons travel not one by one, but in neat trios. It's like two boom barriers synchronously letting through three cars at a time. This collective quantum effect opens the door to building simulators that will help unravel the behavior of complex materials — from superconductors to quantum magnets.

🎯 To see individual photons, you need total darkness and ultrasensitive detectors. In an ordinary lightbulb, there are so many that counting them is pointless.

🎬 In science fiction, quantum communication promises instant data transfer. Photon triples aren't capable of that yet, but they help us better understand the quantum world.
