At a future collider, three particles intertwine in a quantum dance, where the whole is greater than the sum of the pairs. Usually, entanglement is studied in pairs, but here they’ve dared to tackle a trio for the first time—and it turned out to be stronger. It’s like a musical chord that can’t be reduced to individual notes, and it might tell us about the deep laws of the universe.
