In deep space, three massive galaxies smash into each other, like megacities merging into one. The impacts scatter glowing gas 'beads' strung on an invisible thread. This is a frenzy of star birth and perhaps the way the most massive galaxies in the Universe came to be.

🎯 The gas 'beads' are heated only to -243°C — 20 degrees colder than Pluto's surface. But thanks to shock waves, they glow so brightly that they can be detected at a distance of billions of light-years.
