Noise in light can be 'squeezed,' like a balloon, to reduce disturbances for precise measurements. For the first time, physicists have been able to switch the type of squeezing in attoseconds, by steering the material with ultrashort laser flashes. This is a step toward quantum devices that process information at the ultimate speed limit.

🎯 Nobody physically squeezes 'squeezed' light — it's just a clever redistribution of natural noise, where reducing disturbances in one spot makes them grow in another, just like a balloon.
