A flash brighter than a star — not a supernova, but the last 'cry' of a dying civilization. A new hypothesis says: first contact with aliens will most likely happen just like that. A fleeting distress signal from the other end of the Galaxy could be our greatest discovery.

🎯 An example of a 'loud' technology might be a Dyson sphere — a giant shell around a star that an advanced civilization could build to harvest all its energy. Such a structure would completely enclose the star, but would itself glow in infrared, giving away its creators.
