We know that in the quantum world particles can be mysteriously connected. Scientists have long debated whether this can be explained without mysticism. Three authors offer three different perspectives on how reality works, abandoning ordinary 'common sense'. Which one is closer to the truth?

Second: the observer is always limited and doesn’t see the full picture. Third: add extra dimensions, and the restrictions vanish. The most surprising conclusion belongs to Bell himself: what we must abandon is not locality (instantaneous connection), but realism — the belief that particles have pre-existing properties. This turns our understanding of reality upside down.
