Abstract

The standard model of the universe violates fundamental physical prohibitions. Comparing it to the lesser-known R_h=ct model, scientists found that the latter is 92% more likely to match observational data while perfectly respecting these prohibitions. It’s like having two books: one contradicts its own rules, the other doesn’t. Why then are we reading the first?

The Universe follows strict rules, like players at a table. One of them: gravity always attracts, and energy cannot be negative. The Standard Model ΛCDM, initiated by Georges Lemaître with the idea of the Big Bang, breaks these rules twice — during the inflationary epoch, predicted by Alan Guth, and now for the sake of dark energy.
