The Magnetic Pattern That Flows in Place
Scientists peered into a two-dimensional magnet made of nickel atoms arranged in triangles using a method created by Isidor Isaac Rabi — nuclear magnetic resonance (similar to MRI). Inside, they found magnetic arrows that, in a strong field, froze into an 'up-up-down' pattern, like a formation of soldiers: two steps forward, one step back.
The Underground Guardian of Purity
A huge pool of clear liquid is hidden deep underground. Inside, there is nothing but a pristine 'broth' that flashes with faint light when an invisible particle flies through. This is the JUNO detector—20,000 tons of liquid scintillator built to hunt for neutrinos. The main enemy of such a hunt is not darkness but its own noise.

Gravity in the Dance of Planets
As planets orbit the Sun, they don't just follow their paths: they give each other a slight tug. It's like a dance where each partner feels the movements of the others. Scientists set out to determine how strongly this mutual attraction alters the planets' trajectories. It turns out there are small corrections that were previously overlooked.
