Abstract

In the afterglow of the Big Bang, astrophysicists spotted a possible trace of hidden dimensions that existed in the early universe. The discovered asymmetry in the radiation is like an echo of a world where space had more than three dimensions. Could our universe once have been like a curled-up sheet of paper?
